The Centre has been globally active within teaching, research and collaboration with business since 1984 when it launched its unique MSc programme in International Business with a strong focus on cultural diversity and problem-based learning. In collaboration with leading Danish companies such as Grundfos, IBC has organised numerous conferences and workshops bringing together scholars and practitioners such as the recently held workshops on "Global Mindset and Internationalisation of Small Economies and Firms".

AALBORG UNIVERSITY

Aalborg University differentiates itself from the older and more traditional Danish universities with its focus on interdisciplinary studies; an experimental curriculum, a pedagogical structure based on problem-centred, real-life projects of educational and research relevance - which internationally have become recognized as The Aalborg Model. The University has expanded its international position through internationalization and cooperation in research with a view of achieving synergies created by global research collaboration. Research activities are integrated strongly with the business world as knowledge creation and acquisition are essential for the development of business companies and other organizations. The University has been supported for its research activities by national and international institutions and company foundations, which have recognized that research at Aalborg University is the result of a creative interactive process.
